Biography: Steve Lincoln Hubber is a sculptor, painter, photographer and published poet born Christmas Eve within the Chiltern Hills, England, 1966.
After gaining qualifications in Art + Design, Desktop Publishing and Graphic Design, he spent his early years travelling. Then went on to work in foundries, moulding studios and wood pattern workshops. This undoubtedly has equip him with the necessary skills to create some beautifully observed and constructed work for his own collection and for other high profile artists.
From such freelance work he met sculptor Deirdre Hubbard FRBS whose career spans 5 decades, working with Dame Elizabeth Frink in the 60s and 70s.
THE WORK
My artwork currently is shown and sold worldwide (including Manhatten NYC, Hong Kong recently), to clientelle including private collectors, interior designers, business and random art lovers. Lately I've found the work is increasing in value and attracting younger clients. Recently my work has shown at Art London and The Affordable Air Fair in London and am exhibiting larger works for sale on semi perminent display at venues such as Woburn Abbey, Newby Hall ,England.
The sculpture 'Prometheus' received an award from The Arts Council, England, a cast of which is on sale on this website where you can make an offer. Also was involved in the production of large scale works for The Queen Mary Cruise Ship.
The work has received praise, recommendation and commendation from respected individuals such as:
